Android app · in testing
Try Thumb Arc in your browser
This demo only works inside this page. The real app works across your whole phone.
Nothing to install. Use a finger or a mouse on the pad in the corner of the screen. It takes about a minute, and you can skip any step.
Step 1 of 5 · Move
Slide on the dotted trackpad to move the cursor onto Play. It snaps on when it gets close.
That's the pad.
The app does this in your other apps, on Android 12 or newer. It's in testing on Google Play, and joining takes two steps with the Google account on your Android phone.
What the demo shows
If you can't use the pad here, this is everything it does. The pad needs a touch screen or a mouse. A keyboard reaches Skip and the links, but it can't drive the pad.
- Sliding on the trackpad moves a cursor around the screen. It snaps onto a Play button when it gets close.
- Tapping the L button clicks what the cursor is on, so Play changes to Pause.
- Tapping the R button long-presses it, which opens a small menu on a track.
- Sliding around the ring scrolls a list. A quick flick keeps it spinning for a moment.
- With the cursor on a slider, the ring sets the slider instead.
Where it differs from the app
- The app controls your other apps through Android's accessibility service. A web page can't do that, so this one only moves a pretend screen.
- The pad here has fixed settings. The app has more shapes and themes, and you can move the pad up and down the edge.
- The cursor jumps onto targets here, with an outline, so you can see the snap. In the app the outline is optional and the click lands on the target.
- Setting sliders with the ring is part of Pro. The pad, including scrolling with the ring, is free to use, with an optional one-time Pro upgrade.
- Nothing you do on the pad here is stored or sent anywhere.
Try the real thing
So far it has only been properly tested on one Samsung Galaxy S25 on Android 17, so testers on other phones are useful. More about Thumb Arc.
